  1. wryness says:

    If you believe it’s true
    You’ll act accordingly
    And you’ll never escape,
No, never; listen to me –
I’ve seen the way we stab ourselves
    in the back
    through the front
I’ve felt a self-placed dagger in the spine
I’ve felt the wounds healing with time
    And then break open anew
    And I’m telling you
    To listen to the truth
    And believe what calms,
    loves,
    heals,
    lifts.

    Circular Cause & Consequence*

Go on and Beg the Question, Straw Man
I’ll whack yo hay-head clean off!
Don’t pull those Ad Hominem horsefeathers on me
No Post Hoc hokum from you, sir
I know you been Cherry Picking my tree,
    Poisoning My Well
    Call myself the Texas Sharpshooter—
No Masked Man logic will outfox me.

If-By-Whiskey you put yo sorry-straw-self back together
Don’t come round here on that Bandwagon
Ridin’ circles on yo Well Traveled Road
10 Wrongs won’t make it Right
    So don’t Appeal Tradition—
    Yo head’s been there before
    And I’ll Affirm it Disjunct
    like yesterday.

    She likes me.
    She loves me not.
    She likes me.
    She loves me.

    She loves me not.
    She likes me not.
