  1. Meryl says:

    Ignored by parents,
    her siblings uninterested.
    She read,
    and escaped
    into other worlds.

    Creator of worlds now,
    her books unselfishly provide
    a route through which others
    can escape.

I can’t think of any poem today
My brain is full of sleep
    So I’ll try again tomorrow
    More ideas to heap

  5. Tristan says:

    She’s some beautiful constellation
that’s hard to see at first amid a skyful.
But if you know exactly where to look,
and you squint and turn your head just right,
you see it, and you wonder how
    you never noticed it before,
and you never have trouble seeing it again.

  6. Volkam says:

Like a pitcher, the big dipper
    Pours a purple light
Washing me from head to toe
    Leaving a shining shimmering sight

Moving as gracefully as a glass slipper
The silver moon slides across sable skies
A smile plays across her crescent countenance
As she hears my secret sighs

I drink from the cup of silent anticipation
Shortly the golden orb rises awake
Touching the valley with golden rays
Like a ripple traveling across a lake

    A wind of concentration
    Floods my thoughts
Each experience becomes fresh and new
    Treasured memories with wisdom fraught
