The master approached
calmly we waited
seeking not to enroach
or change his words fated
“strength comes through the hard
or through the soft,
choose to be a diamond shard
or feathery and aloft”
silently each contemplated the mystery
choosing either matter or space
many sought the diamondhard destiny
after those dreams giving chase
but we, we chose the empty way
and have grown stronger even to this day
The strength of your friendship,
Is all that keeps me going.
You raise me higher with praise,
Make my thoughts start flowing.
I was alone in my struggle,
I was lost, and far away.
You found me! you saved me!
You brightened up my day!

Sometimes the hardest strong to see
Is the strong to say,
“I’m not that strong
And maybe I will never be.”

you strain me all day
then while you sleep i still work
making sure you breathe

I’m strong enough
to move mountains.
I’m strong enough
to never need to.

You sure do know
How to take all
The strength out
Of my limbs
With your words
And winks and smiles
That make me
love you so
