There once was a villain grostesque
Who decided to purchase a desk.
“When my cat I do stroke
and my plans I do stroke
I’ll sit somewhere, and do it ere Meske.”
But the desk that our villain friend bought -
It was not as well-made as he’d thought.
When upon it he sat
He fell down with a splat
And his poor little cat his fall caught.

should involve seat belts

My desk admits and harbors
The clutter and mania
That is not welcome
In the rest of my life.

Too many stacks of
unread literature form
concrete city blocks.
Piles of pens, a clock,
Post-It notes, and speakers are
all stuck in traffic.
