What’s holding you up?
7/28/10: Night
When it’s dark out…
7/27/10: Shiny
Write about something shiny. Or shininess itself.
7/26/10: Fame
Do you want it?
7/25/10: Wood
You’d better knock on it.
7/24/10: Freebie!
I didn’t forget this week! Today is the day when you can write about whatever you want.
7/23/10: Strange
Something odd is happening.
7/22/10: Black
So dark and mysterious.
7/21/10: Bodies
Body or bodies.
But the daily classic poem is here.
7/20/10: Deadly
Watch out, it’ll kill you!
Check out the classic poem of the day.
7/19/10: Cool
So chill.
7/18/10: Freebie!
I forgot about freebie day yesterday, so we’re doing it today. So you can write about anything!
7/17/10: Skill
The opposite of luck?
7/16/10: Texas
Everything’s bigger there.
7/15/10: The Hunt
And I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.
7/14/10: To _____
Write your poem today to someone. You don’t have to say who, but address it to someone.
But first I plead to you, dear readers, and ask you to read today’s classic poem.
7/12/10: The blinking light
What does it mean?
Maybe today’s classic poem has some insight?…
7/11/10: Excess
Too much.
7/10/10: Freebie!
Today is the Daily Poetry Club’s 300th day! Wooooo! 300 topics… Wow. So old already… To celebrate, we’re throwing out a freebie! That is, you can write about whatever you want today.
Having said that, this club has a lot of members but relatively few people who post on a consistent basis. Remember, one of the keys to writing good poetry is writing OFTEN! Of course every poem won’t be amazing, but the point isn’t for every one to be amazing. The point is to keep the creative juices active and flowing. Maybe for every 100 crappy poems you’ve got one good one, and that’s OK! Just keep writing!
